Resident Agreement

House Rules & Expectations

These policies protect the safety, sobriety, and comfort of every man in the house. Residency requires full agreement to each of them.

Sobriety and Testing

  • Zero Tolerance: Absolute sobriety from alcohol, illicit drugs, and unprescribed medications is mandatory.
  • Drug Testing: Residents must submit to random urine drug screens and breathalyzer tests upon request by the House Manager.
  • Refusal: Refusing a test or failing to provide a sample within 2 hours is treated as a positive result and grounds for immediate discharge.

Curfews and Attendance

  • Standard Curfew: Sunday through Thursday: 10:00 PM. Friday and Saturday: 11:00 PM.
  • Employment/School Extenuating Circumstances: Exceptions must be pre-approved 48 hours in advance by the House Manager.
  • Overnight Passes: Eligible after 30 days of residency. Requests must be submitted in writing by Wednesday for the upcoming weekend.
  • House Meetings: Attendance at the weekly Sunday house meeting (7:00 PM) is mandatory for all 6 residents.

Chores and Cleanliness

  • Daily Chore: Assigned on a rotating weekly schedule. Must be completed and checked by the House Manager by 9:00 PM daily.
  • Personal Space: Beds must be made daily. Bedrooms must be kept clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
  • Communal Areas: Clean up after yourself immediately in the kitchen, dining, and living areas. No dirty dishes may be left in the sink.

Guest Access and Privacy

  • Guests: Allowed in communal areas only between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM upon being approved by the House Manager.
  • No Overnights: No guests are permitted to stay overnight under any circumstances.
  • Privacy: Residents are not permitted to enter another resident's bedroom without explicit invitation.

Medication Management

  • Prescriptions: All medications (including psychiatric prescriptions) must be disclosed at intake and documented.
  • Storage: All medications must be stored securely in the resident's assigned lockbox.
  • Prohibited Substances: Narcotic pain relievers, benzodiazepines, and medical marijuana are strictly prohibited.
